Bee Amazed!

Bee Amazed! published on No Comments on Bee Amazed!

Bee Amazed, a mobile game I’ve been working on for a number of years with my friend Jaynee Howe, just went live on the Apple App Store. Bee Amazed is real-world, science-based content that teaches the youngest children about the importance of bees and the different roles they have in the honey hive, using mazes and other fun activities. Last spring we were invited to spend six weekends demoing our beta version at the California Academy of Sciences in San Francisco. We got tons of great feedback from kids, parents and scientists, and it’s all built into this final version of the game. Go download it now:

French Student’s Miazaki and Moebius-inspired animated short.

This one has been doing the rounds, and apparently was the hottest thing on the web in Japan in April. It’s just a little student film called “Celles et Ceux des Cimes et Cieux” (“Girls and Guys from the Summits and the Skies”). It’s kind of like a trailer for a movie, but is almost a little film in of itself. The creator is Gwenn Germain, a student at the French art school Créapole. Clearly it’s a homage to Hayao Miyazaki, but with a strong Heavy-Matal Moebius influence, and a nod to the incredible Syd Mead.

Unique originality, or blantant rip-off? You decide!
